Two flaws in Safari

The Gmail Web Application saved through the Safari 4 Developer Preview

Save as Web Application feature in the Preview version:

I saved Gmail and Yahoo! Mail as Web Applications only to find that the Safari Web Applications have to go through the whole loading process after logging in each time the application is started. Which means that the web application isn’t being saved as intended. It’s working more like a bookmark with it’s own window.

Caching mechanism in all versions of Safari 4 and below:

When you play a video on YouTube and have it load fully the first time, every time you visit a page with that video, the video is picked up from cache. That’s what happens when you use Firefox, but Safari loads the video right from the beginning which is really painful when we’re using broadband connections that seem more like the dial up connections used in the past generation abroad.
