IZEA, Inc. has started yet another website for us bloggers’ benefit. Yes, it is called SocialSpark and is a social network to connect advertisers to bloggers based on their performance that is calculated on various grounds.

SocialSpark is a website that is built with PayPerPost taken as it’s base and every angle has been improved right from the code of ethics, transparency, credit for real opinions as they can be easily distinguished from false writing. Instead of following PageRank to rate blogs, they have a system of RealRank that is calculated when the script SocialSpark provides is executed each time a user visits your website to notify SocialSpark of a new visitor. That way they have statistics of each website, and though installing the script is not compulsory it is important because you get more post opportunities if you install their itk(IZEA Took Kit) script that helps their tracker running at 2AM every morning collect information about all blogs on aggregated on their system.

Initially SocialSpark has an invite-only signup form which you could access only through your invitation email. That has changed since it is now out of testing and open for use by everybody. They also have a BlogUBack system which is for increasing the number of visitors to your blog. How? It’s simple. All you have to do is take a Spark opportunity which has the BlogUBack symbol and write about the website/blog in the opportunity. Once approved, the author of the website you write about will in turn write about your blog. It’s a two-way post where you get paid, not by money but by an increase in daily visitors. Taking such opportunities regularly is important as Sparks get pushed down when new content appears on the blog and less people look at the archives.

Other than sparks they have Blog Sponsorships(the ones you’ll find on websites like TechCrunch and Daring Fireball) and Sponsored Posts(the kind you’ve seen on PayPerPost). Blog Sponsorships earn you cash through a per day basis while Sponsored Posts pay you a one-time fee(higher than per day Sponsorships, one-time because it doesn’t remain on the homepage of your blog for long).
