Social Networking is muck

I just managed to catch this video which one of my friends forced me to watch. You’ve probably watched it on MTV(which I don’t watch because it’s made for truck drivers) and you may be one of those lunatics going around teaching people to say “A scrap a day, keeps the doctor away”.

I’m not against the concept of social networking, nor am I against Orkut coming up. I just don’t like the way Indians are glued to them, as though it has become some indispensable part of their lives; something like oxygen. They’ve successfully create an scrilla-generating enterprise at the expense of gullible Indians who’ve got no other mode of wasting time. If you visit the site to look for old friends, that’s what you need to do and that’s where you stop. You don’t need to go on for hours trying to make friends and you certainly don’t need to be proud of being the Time Person of the Year.

You’ve joined half a dozen sites on this list for no reason, and you’ve managed to generate enough clicks so that they keep their sites running for half a century. I really hate all those who’ve got nothing better to do sitting in engineering colleges(just for the “jobs” you won’t get).

Social Networking never was and never will be on my priority list(I have lately started maintaining one). If it ever does come on to the list, I want you to shoot me(yep, it’s in bold).
