What’s fake about it, I find it perfectly fine. When an application crashes on Windows, and that starts happening only after you installed an update(possible only genuine copies) I wouldn’t blame the app, but would definitely blame the OS.
I’ve seen these things happening with the Flash Player which is perfectly tested by Adobe, I would still blame the OS.
This is definitely not fake, as I’ve seen people writing about such things happening on several blogs that I don’t currently have time to link to.
