Apache is a new kind of headache

Every computer geek knows about Apache. Even if they didn’t know about it, they’ve surely heard about it. So I knew about it, after having heard about it long back. Yesterday was a pathetically useless day, with 5 and a 1/2 hours wasted, and (almost) nothing achieved, when I could have studied instead(Am I joking?). Installation of any piece of software is as easy as it can be today. The same with Apache.org Web Server. Took 1 minute to install and 30 minutes to configure. End result:

Warning: mysql_connect(): Access denied for user ‘username’@'localhost’ (using password: YES) in C:\Apache2\Apache2\htdocs\includes\database.mysql.inc on line 31
Access denied for user ‘username’@'localhost’ (using password: YES)

The only good news is that Windows did not crash in the process.

Tomorrow I have my Comp Science paper and then the Maths paper on Tuesday..

Till Tuesday,
~!Abhishek

  • Why don’t you have a countre for your blog?
Or, If you have one, make it visible.

  • I’ve got an account with Google-Analytics.com, which gives me detailed results of pageviews etc. It does not have an option of displaying the counter, but I don’t want one anyway.

Tell me what the point is?? I can increase my hit-counts myself you know?? There all kinds of scripts on the net which will increase your webstat counter by 1000 with each execution.

Dunno about anyone else thinks, but I’ve always wanted it to be simple. My only other plan for the blog is transferring it to xAbhishek.com/AbhishekN.com using WordPress, and doing something about revieware.com.

  • Good you have an account at google-analytics. I applied for one about mmm…. 6 months ago and it hasn’t been approved yet.

BTW, how much unique hits you get on a single day?

  • 42 Today, but the average last month was 26.

  • Oh! Good.
    And how many page-views?

  • 72 Yesterday, 4 today till now.
